Somehow, that eventually led to New York City—where I spent years buying flowers for retail, corporate accounts, weddings and events, and later designing as part of some incredibly talented floral teams.
I've seen a LOT of flowers.
But here's what I've realized:
The stories aren't really just about flowers.
They're about perfection. Expectations. Problem-solving. People. Beauty. Control. Letting go. And learning what actually deserves your time, money, energy—and stress.
I learned floral design with flowers that had been pulled out of the garbage.
Literally.
After 20+ years as a professional florist, I've got some stories.
The beautiful ones. The ridiculous ones. The glamorous ones. And the ones where everything went spectacularly sideways.
No spam. No inbox clutter. Just flowers, stories, and the occasional disaster.
I'm a Type B Florist.
That doesn't mean I care less.
It means I've learned what deserves caring about.
So a couple of times a month, I'll send you a story from my life in flowers—and whatever it taught me along the way.
There's really only one requirement:
You love flowers. 🌸
(A tolerance for things going spectacularly sideways doesn't hurt either. 😂)
